IS IT LEGAL?

The ceremony has no legal standing and is a symbolic ceremony.  It is the perfect solution for: –

• a Mauritian citizen who is legally married to a non-citizen, whose civil ceremony is bound to take place in an office in the presence of two witnesses;
• Mauritian citizens or non-citizens who have already been legally married in another country;
• Non-citizens who intend to marry legally in their own country at a later period.
