On April 24th, I was attending a great sports event: The RUN POSITIVE LIFE that took place around Albion. Well, I was not attending as a runner – but as usual, behind my camera, trying to capture the enthusiastic and energetic atmosphere this event was providing. One great aspect of this run was that it didn’t only attract professional runners for the semi marathon distance – the organisers, Club Med La Plantation d’Albion, did also provide the opportunity to participate in a 10km or 3 km Family run. Thus, the “RUN POSITIVE LIFE” lived up to its name, turning this Sunday morning into a great and sporty one that attracted old and young, “professionals” and amateurs.
Family Warm Up
The event was starting with a dynamic group warm up, where an awesomely great entertainment team that got the participants up and going. They were sharing and spreading their positive vibes through energetic dance rhythms, entertaining the runners (all dressed in powerful yellow) and ensuring that the time until the “kickoff” just flew by.
All set and ready to kick
After start, the athletes were running their distance under the already pretty kicking sun – but the great atmosphere of the morning was remaining with them. Cheered and encouraged by the audience along the course, they all made it to the finish line where they were rewarded with a highly deserved medal. All in all, the RUN was a really great and dynamic event, bringing together sports and fun!
